Built For Northern Virginia

SHC BJJ NOVA was built on a simple belief: world-class jiu-jitsu should be accessible to everyone willing to step onto the mats. Located in Ashburn, Virginia, in the heart of the Broadlands community, we specialize in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults and youth who want more than just a workout. We're here to build confidence, sharpen skill, and forge the kind of mental toughness that carries into every area of life.

Our academy is competition tested and self-defense ready. Whether you're training for your first tournament, learning to protect yourself, or simply looking for a challenging, rewarding way to get in the best shape of your life, our coaching staff brings elite-level instruction in an environment where respect, discipline, and growth come first.

SAMUEL HERTZOG CANQUERINO

4th Degree · 2012 World Pro Jiu-Jitsu Champion

Samuel is a lifelong Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. He is the founder of the SHC BJJ Association and owner of the SHC gym in Caxias do Sul. Samuel has competed internationally and spent over a decade coaching around the world, including developing Jiu-Jitsu programs in the UAE. SHC BJJ NOVA now serves as the headquarters of SHC BJJ, where he brings his experience and passion to the next generation of students.

Diana is an active competitor on the IBJJF circuit and a regular medalist at major tournaments. On the mat she focuses on building a strong, supportive women's training environment and helping members at every level sharpen their game.
